DISCOVER THE HISTORY OF AN ICON
The refreshed museum and lookout will see visitors step back in time to enjoy the magic of the Sydney Harbour Bridge – from its beginnings, the planning and construction, to the excitement of the opening ceremony.
Throughout the Spring school holidays, the BridgeClimb Pylon Lookout & Museum is proudly reopening to host Sydneysiders and interstate visitors to discover more on the history and building of the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Uncover original artefacts, enjoy new virtual reality tour guides and a chance to win a BridgeClimb family pass. Visitors who follow the 200 stairs to the top will also have the opportunity to enjoy amazing views of Sydney and beyond from the city’s original lookout – 87m above sea level.
Sydney’s hidden gem museum has taken many different forms over the past 98 years including post office, cattery, tearooms, World War II fortress and at one point even had its own newspaper the ‘Sydney Harbour Bridge Times’.
